The customer initially provided a half-piece solid wood sample as the starting point for the project. Based on this sample, we conducted a high-precision 3D scanning process to accurately capture all critical installation dimensions, contours, mounting positions, and structural features. This digital reconstruction allowed our engineering team to build a precise CAD model while ensuring full compatibility with the original component.
Using the scanned data, we redesigned and optimized the overall grip shape according to ergonomic principles. The design focused on improving palm support, grip stability, finger positioning, and long-term handling comfort. To accommodate different user groups and hand sizes, multiple size variations were developed based on ergonomic research and practical usage analysis. Every detail, including grip angle, edge transition, and pressure distribution, was carefully refined to achieve a more natural and comfortable user experience.
